This painting is part of a small series of work devoted to observing nature's seasonal changes. The imagery within this painting depicts an allegory of Autumn and the harvest season- a time when things are coming to abundance, yet also coming to a close. The colors, patterns, and composition are influenced by Persian miniature painting. The figure in the painting represents a physical and spiritual connection to nature and the Earth. The glowing sun emerging from the top of the painting is painted with real gold pigment.
