This original 30 x 24 in. oil painting utilizes a variety of textures, patterns, and gestural brushstrokes in it’s definition of a figure strapped against a wall, surrounded by arrows.

My interest in figurative painting continues to permeate this body of work. The figure is both present and simultaneously disappearing, merging with his environment while loosely holding his own space and form. His universe is shifting and melding, mediated by the presence of a vertically-ruled pattern that distorts spatial and optical perception.

The painting has a clean 1.5” wooden edge, and is currently unframed.
