Elecampane Herbal Mandala
Elecampane Herbal Mandala
"This project began with my passion for herbalism and healing with plants. Each watercolor is an in-depth examination of an herb, each to represent a different "action" or way that it supports the health of the body."

Elecampane (Inula helenium) was once known as ‘Elfwort’ because it was sacred to the ancient Celts and Druids. It's chief medicine lies in supporting the lungs. Elecampane is used for lung conditions of all kinds, including asthma, bronchitis, and whooping cough. It is also used to prevent coughing, and as an expectorant to assist in a quick recovery from chronic and acute lung conditions.
