Lobelia Herbal Mandala
Lobelia Herbal Mandala
"This project began with my passion for herbalism and healing with plants. Each watercolor is an in-depth examination of an herb, each to represent a different "action" or way that it supports the health of the body."

While Lobelia (Lobelia inflata) may have little flowers, the power this medicine contains should not be underestimated. Lobelia’s primary use is as a potent relaxant. Lobelia is a very strong antispasmodic with a special affinity for the respiratory system. It is also an effective tobacco substitute and can be dried to use in smoking blends, especially when one is looking to quit smoking cigarettes- hence it's nickname, "Indian Tobacco".
